Psalm 19:1-11 The Perfect Revelation of the Lord
God reveals Himself through the beauty of His creation just as a master artist is known by his work. The heavens reveal God's glory. Everyone can see what He has done and surely cannot miss the awesome Creator, who by His very presence makes a difference and wields the incomparable influence of one who ultimately determines events and makes decisions.
The beauty of creation should lead all to worship the Creator and not the creation itself. Reading this reminded me so much of Phil Wickham, a Christian artist i so deeply adore. My friends in the States and I watched his concert in Vegas just last May. All his songs were so good.. you can't help but put your hands up in amazement. For his last song, he sang a hymnal which everyone knew and sang along to. After about 3mins of singing the same song over and over again, everyone realized they had been singing it with eyes closed and that Phil had left the stage without the applause. We sang "We give You all the glory..." :)
God created Phil, that desire in His heart and gave Him so much anointing that Phil knew he just had to give all the glory, honor and praise to God!
God's Law
I like how verses 7-9 in the Message Bible was written:
"The revelation of God is whole and puts our lives together
The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road.
The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to JOY.
The directions of God are plain and easy on the eyes.
God's reputation is twenty-four-carat gold, with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE.
The decisions of God are accurate down to the nth degree."
God's law provides true wisdom, in revealing how to live a life pleasing to God.
The "simple" person is one whose mind is open to God's truth. "Fear" (v.9) is the attitude of reverent obedience.
beautiful !
