That thing you do: Day 6

Proverbs 30:5-6 

"Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." (NKJV)

A few weeks ago we met new friends who were so curious about God and how He works. They asked questions that has been bothering them and that's been causing them to doubt God and His existence. They seemed to be so frustrated to not be able to grasp the idea of God let alone who He is. 

And then it struck me... Most of the time, I find it so hard to understand myself. And of course, even harder to read other people. It only proves that I am incapable of comprehending the mind of a finite man. How could I even presume to try to understand the workings of God's infinite mind! 

No matter how many times we read the Bible from cover to cover, we will still have questions. But I guess that's just where faith comes in. That's when we can actually decide to start believing.

On my previous post, I said I got terrible news yesterday... So many questions in my head. So many things I wanna ask God and almost all beginning with a WHY. 

But then, I am led to this. "He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him." I'm safe. No matter what... I am in His embrace. I may not understand why He lets certain things happen, but this I know.. that He loves me and has great plans for me.

We have questions. Lots of them. But if we put our trust in God, it'll all just make sense! We may not understand it now, but we can rest in the knowledge that He knows what He is doing..even if it hurts sometimes.
