That thing you do: Day 19

Luke 18:1-8 TRUST

Here, we read a story about a Master and a widow. He didn't care at all what God thinks let alone what this woman thinks of him but because she was persistent in getting help from him, he listens and does something about it.

How much more this God who loves us, who cares for us, who fights for us, who created us? Don't you think He'll come through for you? What i find even more comforting is the fact that He knows everything.. that even before we ask, He already knows.

One of the most special childhood memories I could remember was when I was in grade3. We were having a test and one of my friends had asked to copy from me. We got caught. We were sent to the principal's office after and was scolded in front of many other teachers. I was so embarrassed. Daddy John went to pick me up after class and I remember crying as soon as i saw him from afar, ran to his arms and just wept. I was scared to tell him I cheated so I lied about it and said I just felt like crying. Weeks after, he eventually found out and asked why I didn't tell him about it. I said i was scared.... He said he would've fought for me.

It's the same way with God. We're often scared to run to Him. Sometimes because we're afraid and sometimes because we know what we did was wrong. But most of the time, we give up cause we don't think He'd actually come through for us. We say we do, but we don't believe that He actually can and that He actually wants to

No one can love us more than God does. Not my dads, not your boyfriends/spouses, not anyone at all... His love for us is unconditional. And He desires for us to run to Him. At any time of any day.

Don't be afraid to ask.
He already knows.
He's just waiting for you.
